How do I use Clara with Lever?

After you have set up your Lever+Clara integration, it's simple to use Clara with Lever!

1. Decide on some codewords/phrases that you will use in your interview requests for triggering Clara to use each feedback form + sync the interview in Lever. It should be unique enough it doesn't trigger unintentionally. It's best practice for the codeword to be the job role title such as "Product Manager."

2. To gather the feedback forms:
1) access your team's Lever feedback form page (https://hire.lever.co/settings/feedback/),
2) click the feedback form, and
3) copy the URL from your web browser.
It will be something like: https://hire.lever.co/settings/feedback/5c815f38-24a1-4300-a10f-7f646a852c6c

3. Email Support@claralabs.com with the codewords/phrases + paste in their corresponding feedback form URL.

4. Set up pre-made templates for each job role with the codewords/phrase + CC Clara. For example:

To: Interviewer
Cc: Clara, Candidate

Interviewer, I’d like to introduce you to Candidate. Clara will help coordinate an interview for a Product Manager between you and Candidate.

Thanks,
Recruiter

5. Scheduling interviews for yourself

Step 1:

Pull up your candidate in Lever and select the email function

Step 2:

Compose an email to the candidate and cc clara@yourdomain.com

Step 3:

Use one of the pre-made templates or compose your own email. Keep in mind, each email request to Clara must include the following:

See example below:

Dear Sarah,

I'd like to discuss the Technical Partner position with you. I'm looping in Clara, my assistant, to help find a time for you and I to connect this week.

Scheduling interviews with/for others

Step 1:

Pull up your candidate in Lever and select the email function

Step 2:

Compose an email to the candidate and cc clara@yourdomain.

Step 3:

Use one of the pre-made templates or compose your own email. Keep in mind, each email request to Clara must include the following:

  • A codeword (that coincides with the feedback form you would like to use) on the body of the email (see codewords here on https://home.claralabs.com/advanced
  • The interviewer(s)' email addresses or the interviewer(s) on CC

See example below (with candidate, Clara and interviewer on CC):

Dear Sarah,

We would like to invite you to a final interview for our Front End Developer role. This will be 60 minutes via Google Meet with ((interviewer)).

I'm looping in my assistant Clara to help find a time that works for you.

Clara, please schedule this between Sarah and ((interviewers 1 and 2)). Sarah is in EDT and ((interviewers 1 and 2)) are in PDT.

Tips:

  • If you're not joining the call, you can explicitly tell Clara that you won't join the call or you can say "Clara, please schedule this between (Candidate) and (Interviewers 1 and 2)".
  • If the interviewer is not a Clara user (see list of users on https://home.claralabs.com/team), Clara will schedule in your default timezone, unless you provide the interviewer's timezone.
  • You can let Clara know where a candidate is based and Clara will suggest times in their timezone.
