How do I use Clara with Lever?
After you have set up your Lever and Clara integration, it's simple to use Clara with Lever!
Codewords
Decide on what code words or phrases you will use in your interview requests. These code words and phrases can trigger Clara to schedule the interview, include a feedback form from Lever, and sync the interview with Lever. You want to use code words and phrases that are unique enough to not trigger Clara unintentionally. To read more about code words and phrases, check out this article.
Setting Up Codewords with Feedback Forms

Lever + Clara Tips and Tricks
- If you're not joining the call, you can explicitly tell Clara that you won't join the call or you can say "Clara, please schedule this between (Candidate) and (Interviewers 1 and 2)".
- If the interviewer is not a Clara user (see list of users on https://home.claralabs.com/team), Clara will schedule in your default timezone, unless you provide the interviewer's timezone.
- You can let Clara know where a candidate is based and Clara will suggest times in their timezone.
- You can set code words and phrases for a variety of actions beyond simply scheduling a call. For the full description of actions Clara can take, check out this article.
